The PCA would like to thank everyone that has supported the PCA Giving Tree!

We have decided to continue collecting gifts for another week, so if you are thinking of donating to one of the organizations listed below, there is still time!

The PCA Giving Tree is a chance for the AISC community to participate in giving gifts to local organizations in need.

Elementary School Giving Tree

The Elementary School Giving Tree is focused on supporting the Hope Foundation School. We are asking for new books for the Hope Foundation School to contribute to a library and support literacy. The books can be in English and in Tamil. The ES Giving Tree is located in the Elementary Courtyard. Please stop by and take a tag.

Middle School Giving Tree

The Middle School Giving Tree is focused on supporting the Blue Cross Animal Shelter. The supplies for the Blue Cross allows the animal shelter to continue its important work. The supplies can include dog and cat food, kitten milk, feeding bottles for kittens, leashes, collars, and pet toys. The MS Giving Tree is located in the I-Hub. Please stop by and take a tag.

High School Giving Tree

The High School Giving Tree is focused on supporting the Seva Samajam Children's Home with sports equipment. The sporting equipment gives the children the opportunity to play volleyball, basketball, soccer, cricket, badminton after school. The HS Giving Tree is located in the HS Commons. Please stop by and take a tag.

We are excited to be supporting three different organizations this year.  You are welcome to take a tag from any tree. Drop boxes for gifts are located near the ATMs at both the Main Entrance and the Elementary Entrance.

CHENNAI PHOTO BIENNALE : ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
29 Jan - 25 Feb 2019

Jee Young Lee is a young Korean artist and has been invited by CPB2019 curator Pushpamala N for a month-long residency in Chennai that will result in an installation and exhibition as part of the biennale. This project is in partnership with InKo Centre Chennai.

We are looking for support to host the artist from 30 Jan to 25 Feb 2019. A private room with breakfast at a residence or serviced apartment is preferred.

Interested hosts can write to zshannon@aischennai.org

INKO, a inter-cultural center connecting India and Korea, is looking for assistance in creating an exhibition. They are looking for a picture of your bookshelf. The bookshelf should be in its natural state and reflect the character of the owner, who is typically absent from the frame. The artist then prints them, cuts them and sews them onto his installation made of Hanji paper.

Photos can be taken with your phone or camera. Please upload them here by December 11. If you would like to be recognized as participating in this project, please note your name in the file name.

We are here to help. If you have a question that needs answered or are looking for more information, here is how to reach your PCA Executive Committee Members...
