PCA 2020-2021 Executive Committee Elections, Reminder
Electronic ballots will be emailed to community members by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6. At 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, an AISC tech team representative will close the voting. The results will be electronically reviewed and approved by witnesses, including AISC Administration and the current PCA Executive Committee members, and announced in the weekly newsletter on May 8th. Running for President: Karine Delalande has been an active member of AISC and the PCA for the past four years. She has served as a Country Coordinator, as well as a Grade Level and Elementary Classroom Coordinator. Karine has a strong sense of belonging to AISC. She describes herself as open-minded, and if voted in as President, she plans to carefully listen to the parents and other members of the PCA and be responsive to their needs. 

Running for Vice President: For the past five years Anitta Abildgaard Clausen, a parent of four current AISC students, has been an active participant in the PCA. Anita has been a Grade Level Coordinator, Elementary Classroom Coordinator, and a Country Coordinator. Drawing on her years of experience and diverse network of community relations, Anitta hopes to support and develop the AISC Community by serving as Vice President.

Running for Secretary: Hanne Noergaard joined AISC in the Fall 2018, and during the past two years she has been an active community member and an Elementary Classroom Coordinator. Hanne is highly organized and hopes to contribute by serving as a liaison for the school community in the role of Secretary. Hanne is highly interested in promoting positive cross cultural communication amongst the diverse AISC community.






Similar to last year, the PCA Elections for the 2020-2021 Executive Committee will be conducted using an electronic ballot. This year’s election ballots will be emailed to the AISC community May 6-8th.

The Communications Department has received all the articles for the next edition and are exploring the best e-publication platform for our AISConnect. In line with our timeline, the plan is to have an e-version (and if possible a printed version) out to our community in May 2020.

What will happen with PCA celebrations and elections?
The PCA elections will proceed as planned. There will be an informational PCA Executive and Volunteer Responsibilities Zoom meeting. Virtual applications will be made available and submissions will be made electronically. PCA Candidates will be posted on the PCA Blog. 


The next and final PCA hosted event of the year is the Volunteer Appreciation Brunch. AISC is exploring a virtual appreciation meet up to thank our volunteers and stay connected with our parent community.

Thinking about Joining the PCA Executive Committee for the 2020-2021 School Year?

Interested candidates for the PCA Executive Committee should email Sujata Nair at nsujata@aischennai.org for the Self-nomination Form. Forms will be available starting at noon on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 and should be returned to Sujata by noon on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Any forms received after 12:00 noon will not be accepted. Positions open are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Monday, April 13th, 3pm, there is an optional information meeting for anyone interested in PCA volunteer opportunities, as well as learning more about the PCA Executive Committee. At this meeting, AISC ‘veteran’ volunteers will share their strategies and experiences in various roles.  Current members of the PCA Executive Committee will be available to answer questions. Thinking about Joining the PCA Executive Committee for the 2020-2021 School Year?
