What's Coming Up Next Week
Winter Break, Friday, December 22 - Sunday, January 14
I can't believe we are half way through the school year all ready. Time sure flies when you are having fun. And being the PCA President sure has been fun so far. Thank you to everyone that has volunteered and participated in the PCA events. I'm looking forward to a relaxing Winter Break and will see you all in January.
Safe travels and happy holidays, Sossity
The PCA Giving Tree
All the gifts from the PCA Giving Tree were delivered this week. Thank you all for your generous donations that allowed us to support three organizations this year.
Dear Parents,
Greetings from the National Honor Society! This year, we are planning to invite guest speakers to share their experiences with the high school students in order to inspire and motivate us, as well as to provide us with some sense of direction in life. We are looking for potential guest speakers to do this. We are tentatively planning to have an event on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 and possibly another event sometime in March.
As the National Honor Society, we seek to enrich our community. Our society is focused on four pillars: scholarship, leadership, service and character. We believe that the amazing AISC community has many people with varied experiences that would be great for us students to learn from.
Some details:
The event will take place inside the school campus on January 17, from 11:45 to 12:25.
Speakers will have approximately 15 minutes, with a question/answer session if they wish to have one.
Some sample topic areas to speak about:
- Experiences with volunteering/ public work/ government
- Work in leadership positions in a job/ in the real world
- Real world experiences with moral issues
- School, college and academic pursuits
- Activism
Thank you very much! Please feel free to contact us with any questions at rkarun20@aischennai.org.
Regards,
National Honor Society
