We hope you will join us on Saturday, October 12 for the PCA Diwali Mela. The performances this year have some wonderful groups that include students, parents, and faculty. You won't want to miss them. We also have a ton of activities this year including diya painting, flower tying, mahendi, face painting, games, embroidery, wire crafts, bangle decorating, interactive dancing, kolum making, and much more. Come enjoy some fabulous food, performances, and activities.

  • This is part of the Communication Team's initiative to empower our community to contribute to the story we share through our Social Media Channels, Marketing Platforms, and Internal Publications.
  • Once the uploaded pictures are approved by the Communication Team it will go up on our AISC SmugMug page.

Diwali Mela Performance Registration

Diwali Mela performance registrations are now open until the 16th of September. If you or your child wants to put on a colorful show, please fill out the forms as soon as possible. Gentle reminder, acts must be Indian themed. All media for performances must be submitted to the theater department by September 16th via email to factheater@aischennai.org. We kindly ask that all media be high-quality mp3 please and not YouTube links. We will have a preliminary rehearsal on September 16th after school in the FAC Theater. To get your act lined up for the show, we ask that all performers attend the rehearsals. Please see registration forms for additional details. Sign up to be a part of the performances here.

PCA Social Outing
Saree and Jewelry Shopping

We are entering the busiest time in India, quaintly referred to as “festival season.” Many major holidays are celebrated during this time, including Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dussehra, and culminating in Diwali. A tradition for Diwali is to buy a new outfit for the celebration. So if you are looking for a new saree, salwar, or lehenga for our Diwali Mela, join us for a shopping trip to Parry’s Corner on Monday, September 16. We will leave from the school at 9:00 a.m. There is no fee for this trip, but you will need to bring money with you for your purchases and for lunch. If you would like to register for the trip, please sign up here. we will be limiting it to 15 people.











AISC UN International Peace Day, Parade of Nations - September 13, 2019
This year's UN International Peace Day celebration will be held on Friday, September 13! The Parade of Nations will be held in the FAC Theater and students are encouraged to dress in their national attire.

Upon arrival, class teachers will bring Grade 1 through Grade 12 students to gather in the gymnasium. Once assembled by their respective national flag, students will proceed to the FAC Theater stage for the beginning of the parade.

Teachers will gather Early Years and Kindergarten in the FAC Theater lobby. Upon arrival of Grade 1 to Grade 12 students, Early Years and Kindergarten students will lead the school into the parade. Early Years and Kindergarten students will exit the auditorium upon parading across the FAC Theater stage.

Once they finish the parade, Grade 1 to Grade 5 students will be seated in the FAC Theater for a short program. Grade 6 to Grade 12 students will proceed to the cafeteria for live streaming of the program.

The Parade of Nations will be followed by a regular school day.
