Happy Thanksgiving to all! We hope you enjoy the long weekend and are able to relax with your families. As the holiday season approaches, we are starting to work on our next project, the Giving Tree.
The PCA’s Giving Tree will be online again this year and all are welcome to contribute. In collaboration with several local foundations, the PCA will post Amazon wishlists, which will enable you to purchase much needed items such as books, craft materials, food, blankets and much more. All items purchased will be delivered directly to the organisations. The organisations we are working with this year are:
Jeevaratchanai Girls’ House - A home for 13 girls who are rescued and given education
Aathamalayam elderly home - A home that takes care of elderly people.
Seva Semajam children's home - A home and school for around 50 orphans and children of single parents
Agua Gifting Smiles appeal - distribution of gifts to children this holiday season
Please come to the PCA Monthly Meeting on Monday 6 December to find out more.
PCA Monthly Meeting - Monday 6 December - 13.30-14.30
Our next PCA Monthly Meeting on Monday 6 December will be held at the new time of 13.30-14.30. This has been moved to enable parents to attend the meeting and still have time to pick up children from Campus. This meeting will have a holiday theme. Be prepared to learn more about how the holidays are celebrated around the world, with our fun and informative Kahoot. We will also share more information about The Giving Tree, so that we can share the season of goodwill to those less fortunate. You can join the meeting here.

Upcoming: Webinar #7, At What Cost? Defending Adolescent Development in Fiercely Competitive Schools, presented by David Gleason, Tuesday, December 7th 2021, 7:30pm IST.
Anxiety, depression and their dangerous manifestations — substance abuse, eating disorders, self-injury and suicide — are increasing student conditions in competitive high schools around the world. Paradoxically, most of these schools promote themselves as being committed to students' holistic development in academics, athletics and the arts, and in their personal, social and emotional growth. So why are so many students struggling?
In this webinar, Dr. Gleason reviews the various ways in which parents and educators alike are actually contributing to how and why it is that students are struggling. Dr. Gleason then offers realistic ways that adults can work together to create healthier and more balanced schools.
