Speed Trust Tour

PCA has organized a SPEED Trust
(Slum People Education & Economic Development)
tour for parents!
SPEED Trust is a non-profit organization
that has trained isolated, widowed or deserted women from the slums
of Chennai to drive auto-rickshaws, stitch and weave bags since 2004.
Please join us for an action packed day on a tour in lady-driven auto rickshaws!
The rickshaws will pick us up from AISC at10am and will return to school by 3pm.
While on the tour we will visit;
the Kapaleshwar Temple, Ramakrishna Mission, Santhome Church, SPEED Trust organization headquarters and Creche, Baladhashan (SPEED Trust shop),
have a south Indian lunch at Saravana Bavan, and visit the Marina Beach Lighthouse.
The cost of the tour is Rs. 1,200 and is inclusive of the auto driver, all entry fees and lunch. Drinks must be purchased separately.
This tour is limited to a maximum of 35 participants
and spots will be offered on a first-come first-serve basis.
Please sign up and pay the AISC Cashier no later than September 9th to ensure your spot!

The HS Fun Night Out committee
is looking for another parent to help serve on their committee.
This committee is planning 7 more social events for high school students over the course of the remainder of the year.
