Dear Community,

2020, this unusual and special year, is coming to an end. We can all be proud of ourselves and our accomplishments in our new roles. As we look back, we at the PCA executive committee wants to thank you all for your commitment and support to each other.

Let's be ready for 2021 and a new start!

After the break, with your help, we hope to connect in new ways as we come together in our beautiful community.
Let's be creative and innovative for this coming year.

Enjoy your winter break and stay safe!

PCA Giving Tree - ending December 24th

It's that time of the year again! Christmas is coming - the New Year will soon be upon us.

It is also a time to think of the less privileged members of our community and we give you the opportunity to give, in the spirit of the holiday.

This year the PCA Giving Tree will be online. In collaboration with the organizations, we have created Amazon wish lists, which enable you to purchase books, craft materials, food, blankets, feeding bowls etc. and it will be delivered directly to the organization.

We have collaborated with organizations that work with children, senior citizens, and animals.
The organizations we hope you will help us support are

Thank you to all participants to the exciting social experience with Storytrails exploring the history of Christianity in India on Tuesday.

We are already planning the next event:

Amazing archaeological finds in India

We always hear about the British taking away so many things from Colonial India. But there were many Englishmen who loved India, and badly wanted to study its ancient past. And some of their discoveries here have actually allowed us to know more about this country. Have you heard about the Englishman who accidentally discovered the oldest known collection of Buddhist art? Or of the Englishman who helped Indians decode the ancient Brahmi script? Join us as we explore stories of archaeological finds that solved some of India’s ancient mysteries.

Stay tuned for more details…

ASIAC Music Collaboration (AES, AISC, and ASB): Connection

The ASIAC schools were not able to meet in person to rehearse and perform together for the annual music festival. However, they were able to find ways to connect and to make music. More than 60 of our middle school and high school choir, strings, guitar, band, and percussion classes from 8 different countries joined with the American School of Bombay and the American Embassy School in New Delhi and found a unique way to connect and make music.
Watch the entire video here.

Inspired by Panem Nostrum from “Concerto for You” by Indian-American composer Reena Esmail, students explored, discussed and reflected on the meaning of connection. They created visual artifacts and recorded their music-making from various locations around the world.

The students’ audio files have been combined into one, but it was not intended that the sounds be perfectly aligned and synchronous. Rather, it is arranged with the intent of everyone having their own voice and for all voices to be heard in an asynchronous yet connected way. This audio and visual presentation that we share and celebrate with you includes recordings and visual artifacts from over 240 students and is the result of their work, collaboration, and connection.

Thank you to Mr. Jason Kennedy and Mr. Bob Krebs for leading our AISC musicians. And a special thanks to AES Delhi for mixing and mastering the audio and putting the video together!
