PCA Giving Tree

Tis the Season for Giving!

It's that time of the year again! Christmas is coming - the New Year will soon be upon us. We plan for travel, Christmas goodies, dancing shoes, and holiday cheer.

As we get ready to energize ourselves for the coming year - it would be good to also include some giving and give back to less privileged members of our community.

This year we have collaborated with organizations that work with children, senior citizens, and animals. The organizations we are supporting are

  • Bala Vihar - Mentally Challenged Children
  • Assissi Illam - Children
  • Cheshire Home - Senior Citizens
  • Atmalayam - Senior Citizens
  • Blue Cross  - Animal Welfare
  • Tree Foundation - Elephant and Turtle Rescue
We are inviting you to gift the following items:

  • Toys
  • Books - new and gently used
  • Sports equipment - balls, racquets, etc.
  • Dry Rations - rice, dal, oats, millets (ragi, jowar, barley, etc.), biscuits, cereals, dry fruits, etc.
  • Blankets, shawls, sweaters,s heets
  • Bags, back packs, new pencils, or paint kits
  • Art and craft supplies, blank note books, and drawing books
  • Clothes - new or barely used
  • Pet food, pet toys, collars, feeding bowls, water bowls
  • Soaps, shampoos, Dettol, hand sanitizer

We encourage you to purchase new clothes and gift them. Good quality new inner shirts are particularly helpful for senior citizens.

We will accept used clothes - however, these should be clothes that you would be proud to wear yourselves. Please do not donate t-shirts, innerwear, or any sort of clothes that are soiled or not in near perfect condition. All clothes should be laundered, ironed, and placed in bags.

There will be a Giving Tree up in the High, Middle and Elementary School - with boxes placed in front of them to receive your gifts. They will be up from November 19th till December 12th

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the PCA.
