Dear Friends,
This week has been filled with a high amount of activity -- a sign of a busy school.
This week was the PTA monthly meeting on Tuesday. During the meeting, there was a lot of information that was delivered to the community. Some main points were about the PTA Task Force. The Task Force was put together in early March to revise the PTA ByLaws to align them with the Strategic Plan.
The Task Force is made up of the following people: Susan Scales, Christina Ma, Lica Kamio, Shanthi Giridhar, Jennifer Nordin. The main take-aways from the Task Force are the following:
1) The name of the AISC PTA will change to the AISC PCA - Parent Community Association.
2) All parents or guardians with children enrolled at AISC are members of the PCA. There is no fees associated with the association.
3) The PCA wants the works of the PCA to align with AISC Mission and Core Values.
The final three events from the PTA are fast approaching. Tomorrow is the PTA Ball at the Hyatt at Anna Salai. We hope to see you all there. Below are last minute updates that we wanted you to know about the ball. Please take a minute to read through the detail. We hope to have a wonderful fun filled evening with you all. Doing lots of shopping, drinking and lots of good food.
The next PTA event will be the PTA Teacher Appreciation Day on the 23rd of April -- on the heels of the PTA Ball. We will have the lunch at the Atrium in the FAC starting at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (due to the staggered Faculty and Staff lunch times).
The last event will take place on May 6th, our last general meeting of the Association from the PTA. We urge all association members to come for this meeting, as it is the last meeting. General elections will be completed on that day, as well as the PTA Appreciation Breakfast.
This year, the Executive Team made a conscious decision to have the Breakfast be at the school and invite all Association members who have contributed in any way to the School. This could be from serving as Coordinator - from Country Coordinators to Grade Level Representative. We urge those who helped in any capacity in any of the different events that we had through the PTA as well as events of the school, task forces (Library Task force, etc.), and many more support roles that parents have played within the school to make it such a rich experience for our kids. We urge all of you to come for the luncheon. We will put forth a small form that we urge you to fill out of your attendance. We are getting the food catered in for the breakfast, thus, we would like to let Taj Flight Kitchen know the numbers.
As we near the last seven weeks of the school year, things are getting busier and busier. We look forward to enjoying it with you all.

PTA BAll- Last minute updates
To all Community Members, we are looking forward to seeing you this weekend at the PTA Ball. The evening will be filled with meeting friend, enjoying food, music and dance at the Hyatt Regency on Anna Salai. There will be wonderful door prizes that can be won, and a silent auction which will be thrilling. So, come early and bring your checkbooks or credit cards and --- bid often!!

For the evening there we have engaged a photographer team to come and take formal photographs for us. The team will be taking formal pictures of couples, groups and singular pictures to your liking. The photographers will be able to take pictures of all at the Ball from 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., after which they will complete all the prints for pickup. Thus, come sign up your name, pay for the picture size that you would like ahead of time, get your pictures taken; go and eat and dance for the evening and before you go home, pick up your print. Below we have listed for you the name of the photographers, size of the prints and the cost of the prints.

Easter @ The Westin
Announcing our Community Easter Celebration on Sunday, April 20, 2014, to be held from 12:30 – 4:00 pm at the Westin Chennai Velachery. There will be an exclusively Easter Menu including the following activities:
